Oresme Trust Charter

«
Oresme » aims at helping students during their training period.
To do that, Oresme puts an accommodation search help service and a contact
service at their disposal, in order to make the meeting easier between
trainees, and between students and private owners, who have furnished
accommodation and are named landlords, both with the same goal of mutual
cooperation. These services are made for the exclusive use of students
and landlords registered at Oresme, who meet the requirements established
in the general terms and conditions and who commit themselves to one another
by signing the following Trust Charter.
ORESME Trust Charter is :
a mutual commitment to respect the housing conditions and enabling :
- students to make their accommodation search easier by the accuracy of
flats description, their rating in accordance with the Oresme Quality
Charter, and a fair price of the rent compared to the quality of the furnished
flat offered.
- landlords to encourage the peace and quiet use of the let accommodation
with respect, by choosing the student tenants who committed themselves
to honour it.
As a landlord, you agree :
1. on the accuracy of the information of any kind that
you give to Oresme or to students.
2. on the accuracy of the condition and state of the
accommodation compared to your description in the ad displayed by Oresme,
thus guaranteeing a good understanding between landlords and students.
3. on the quality of your accommodation that you undertake
to let exempt of defects that could prevent from its normal and quiet
use (cf. article 1721 of Civil Code) and maintained to its level of qualification
and rating in accordance with the Oresme Quality Charter. With a good
maintenance and cleaning state, and equipments that works perfectly, you
ensure the student to have a peaceful use of the premises.
4. on the good welcome and assistance to see to it that
the student stay goes smoothly.
You ensure a personal welcome to the student at his arrival and assist
him according to his request during his stay.
5. to respect your vacancies calendar.
You commit yourself to respect your vacancies calendar and to keep it
up to date according to the occupancies, and to inform Oresme as soon
as possible in case of modifications.
6. to provide a reference on the student after his stay
and the stay condition of your accommodation, by filling in carefully
the satisfaction survey, which enables Oresme to inform the other landlords
on their future contacts.
As an Oresme student member, you agree :
1. the accuracy of information that you give to Oresme
or to landlords.
2. to respect the let accommodation, as if it were yours
: you use the furnished flat as a responsible tenant by keeping it clean
and causing no trouble in the neighbourhood with your behaviour (especially
noise).
3. for the term of your letting agreement, to take out
an household insurance which covers, among others, damage that could take
place during your occupation in the furnished flat, or further risks linked
to your presence (fire, flood damage,…) that you could be held responsible
for.
4. not to modify the accommodation, or the equipment
during the term of your letting agreement, except by mutual written agreement
with your landlord or in case he should need to replace a defective appliance.
5. to comply with the terms of the letting agreement
and the possible conditions of use of the accommodation and/or special
requirements from the landlord (a normal and moderate use of water and
electricity in accordance with the quantities included in the flat fare,
“no smoking”, etc,…).
6. to adopt a correct and benevolent behaviour with your
landlord, in order to cause no harm to him, nor to yourself and Oresme.
7. to give your impressions on your landlord and his
accommodation after your stay, by filling in carefully the satisfaction
survey, which enables Oresme to inform the other students on their future
contacts.
Oresme agrees :
1. to enforce the terms of the present Trust Charter
by removing students or landlords who did not honour their commitments.
Oresme commits itself to refuse and/or remove the accommodation ads that
do not and/or would no longer comply with Oresme Quality Charter (especially
for no compliance with the qualification and/or the rating, litigation
under way, etc…).
2. to keep the registered data and information given
for the exclusive use of putting registered and identified students and
landlords in touch with each others, and to put in place technical means
necessary to the protection and confidentiality of this information. |
